The 11th World Puzzle Championship 2002: September 24 - 29

We have a new world puzzle champion: Niels Roest (The Netherlands). Japan was the best team. See the links for the main results. If that is not enough, download these files: Results in alphabetical order, Results in ranking order

Left to right: Ulrich Voigt (3rd, Germany), Niels Roest (1st, The Netherlands), Roland Voigt (2nd, Germany)

The organizer of the 11th World Puzzle Championship is Suomen puzzle-harrastajat Ahaa! (Finnish Puzzle Association Aha!). The association was founded on February 4th, 2000. The main goal of the association is quite similar to that of the WPF, to promote puzzling in Finland. The first thing to do was to arrange the Finnish Puzzle Championship. The first national final was held in June 2000, and the second final a year later. We may not yet have a large member base, but what we lack in size we compensate for with eagerness.
