HOW TO REACH EGER

There is no international airport around Eger, and no international train goes directly to Eger. But it was enough to reach Budapest, the capitol of Hungary. From there the organizers took the puzzlers directly by bus to Hotel Eger&Park.

It is possible to reach Budapest directly by train from Moskow, St-Peterburg, Kiev, Warsaw, Krakow, Brasov, Bukarest, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Sofia, Beograd, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Venezia, Graz, Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Berlin, Dresden, Praha, Brno, Bratislava, Kosice etc.etc.

There are several low-cost airlines which fly to Budapest, and if one bought a ticket 6 months in advance, it was possible to get a return ticket for just a few euros!
