World Sudoku Championship 2009, Žilina (Slovakia)
24 - 27 April 2009

Come
and take a breath
of its neverending beauty,
its mystery,
its hospitality and opportunities.
SLOVAKIA a little big country.

Exactly these words were the beginning of the Slovak presentation of the WSC 2009 in Slovakia. Written by Ján Farkas, on behalf of organizer Slovenský zväz hádankárov a krížovkárov, contact.

Competition
Each country could be represented by six participants in the individual competition. The individual results were not taken into consideration for the team competition. A team consisted of three members. If there were more individuals from one country, it could have two teams. Only the result of the better team were in the results ranking. It meant that two teams from the same coutry could compete against each other. If only one or two participants came from one coutry, they could compete and fight for the honour of their country.

Team results:
1. Slovakia
2. Czech Republic
3. Serbia

Individual Results:
1. Jan Mrozowski, Poland
2. Branko Ceranic, Serbia
3. Robert Babilon, Czech Republic
